A NAPRANUM resident has filmed a lightning-quick croc attack on a local beach.
Highlighting the dangers of being in crocodile country, the large estuarine croc flew out of the water to grab the dog by its leg before flinging it into the water.
It was standing next to another dog, which escaped unharmed, while a third dog appeared from out of shot to attack the croc.
The beach is a popular place for fishing and locals are often spotted throwing cast nets into the water in search of bait.
The attack has been reported to the Department of Environment and Science, as well as the Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council.
Parents are being urged to supervise their children near the water.
