Cooktown Crocs versus Mossman Sharks was a hard game for all with a mixed under 13/14 age group.
Cooktown hosted the Mossman Sharks Junior Rugby League Club for a big day of football at the John Street Oval to officially end the season.
The weather was kind for the grand final day with blue skies and a light breeze, but action on the field was hot, with Mossman versus Cooktown matches from ages 6 up to 14.
Cooktown Junior Rugby League Club’s Jacynta Hunt paid tribute to the coaches and volunteers, including tireless juniors Sam Ryder and Lucas Giese who referee, are touchies and run water, as well as play league tag all year.
“Special thanks to our awesome coaches who volunteer their time every week to train our kids – our club could not happen without you,” she said.
The Crocs final training session is today (Tuesday 5 September) ahead of presentations on Thursday before a gala game day to support the ABF Future Immortals Tour this Saturday.
