IT might still be Queensland’s worst car park but at least there is one less eyesore at the Heritage Shopping Centre.
After last week’s Page 2 story in Cape York Weekly, this green car was quickly removed.
It had been sitting there for more than two years and it was our second story about the car.
And wasn’t it popular. The phone lit up as a result.
“Amazing what happens when you put out something in the paper and ‘hey presto’, the car is gone,” said Weipa Real Estate’s Deb Duffy via text.
Weipa Town Authority chair Michael Rowland also sent a message to say it was gone.
