A Weipa businesswoman who has taken over the customised vinyl scene is ready to bring a personal touch to Christmas.

Christine Slingo, owner and founder of Casual Creation, fulfilled a life-long dream of running her own business in February.

“With all the kids now in school, I now find myself with the time I have always wanted to put into creativity and building a little business of my own, which has always been a dream of mine,” she said.

Ms Slingo, who is also heavily involved in the Weipa Rodeo, will be at the Christmas markets on 18 November with the hopes of bringing a personalised Christmas cheer to local homes.

“I’ll have teacher gifts, Christmas countdowns, baubles ready to be personalised, Santa cookie plates, as well as display stock so people can place orders for Christmas gifts.”

Other than festive items, her business also provides items such as signage, uniforms, clothing, bags, car decals and key rings, just to name a few.

She explained that orders can be completely customised to the client’s liking, and this is a collaborative process.

“If they think of something and want it made, we can definitely work together to create something special,” she said.

“If you can imagine it and put a sticker on it, I can help. The only limitation really is the imagination.”

The business also recently became a distributor for clothing and apparel collections Grace and Ramo.

Orders can be placed by emailing [email protected] or via their Instagram and Facebook page.
